Scott R. Baker
Scott Baker is a 2005 graduate of Wayne State University Law School. He earned undergraduate degrees in Business Administration, Biology, and Environmental Sciences from Alma College.
Scott has practiced criminal law for his entire career. He previously served as a municipal prosecuting attorney in the 52-1 District Court for more than 12 years, which gives him a practical understanding of how cases move through the system — experience he now uses to defend private clients.
Scott is admitted to practice in all Michigan state courts and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
He previously served as prosecuting attorney for:
- City of Novi
- Charter Township of Lyon
- Village of Milford
- Charter Township of Milford
- Village of Wolverine Lake
- Charter Township of Highland
Scott handles felonies, misdemeanors, and civil infractions. He also has extensive experience in general municipal law, ordinance drafting and review, contract negotiation and review, zoning and ZBA matters, and consulting for municipalities and developers.
Leann K. Kimberlin — Of Counsel
Leann Kimberlin is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A., Political Science). She earned her J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in 1992 and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan the same year.
Leann has broad general-practice experience in probate, real estate, commercial litigation, corporate law, and family law, with a focus on research and writing. She works with Baker Legal Group in an of-counsel capacity.
